Quilts on Show – Veldhoven part 2

This morning I woke to discover I had won the Blogger Quilt Festival in the MINI category.

Thank you all for voting for my paint tube quilt!

I am amazed by all of the support you have given me.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

As promised some more pictures with quilts from the open European Quilt Championship of this October.

This quilt won the prize for longarm quilting, I think.

I do not know which painting this quilt is based on, but maybe it is one by Casper David Friedrich.

Several different thread colours were used in the background. It was really well done!

Another beauty from the show:

I keep thinking I should know the painting this is based on. (Some baroque masterpiece?)

The next quilts were not part of the competition on “Following the Masters”.

The quilt was constructed with various techniques and lots of different materials.

Look at this Pop Art quilt!I do not know if it was part of the competetion or not.

Applique and FMQ

Amongst all of the colourful quilts the next one really stood quietly out. It was really lovely!

Crazy quilted wedding rings!

This last one was a hand sewn quilt, but again with lots of colour:

I have enough pictures for one more post on the quit show. Hope to see you all soon!

Bye bye
